1868 1c and 8½c Queen Victoria Trade Sample Proofs, a group of 9 stamps, including the 1c in brown, olive green, venetian red, black and sepia, plus the 8½c in two shades of green (slightly different than issued stamp), and two in black. These stamps, produced by the American Bank Note Co. are all gummed and perforated, and quite scarce as a group. A very fine and difficult to assemble group, ex "Highlands" collection. Rsv. $1,700.
