Cover endorsed "Postage paid at Brae" at right, bearing P.E.I. 3d blue, 6d blue green (6, 7a), tied by grid cancels, "Charlottetown P.E.I., JA 20 71" backstamp, red crayon "4" pence stg. credit rating, carried by Cunard Line Alpha from Halifax via Bermuda (2.8) to St. Thomas, then by RMSPC Arno departing Feb. 19th to Demerara, reverse with "Demerara, FE 24 '71" arrival backstamp; small cover tear, Very Fine, ex-Saint, Wilkinson, with 1985 Greene Foundation certificate.

THE ONLY RECORDED P.E.I. 6D BLUE GREEN RECORDED USED ON COVER. A REMARKABLE USE TO THE WEST INDIES.

The Greene certificate mentions the 6d is the dark green shade, which is the Scott listed 6d blue green shade variety. This cover was prepaid at the 9d rate to the West Indies with 4d (6d cy.) credit.
