1854 Oval Grid #26 on Folded Cover, (no contents) mailed Shediac on JUL 9.1854 to Fredericton, through St John (two JUL.10 backstamps). Franked with a 3 margin #1, neatly tied by a fine strike of #26 in grid. Cover has file folds (not affecting stamp), overall fine. Also comes with a First Cents set of six (mint or unused, the 5c is used). (Image)

1864 Miramichi NB to St Johns Newfoundland, a folded letter datelined "Miramichi 20 June 1864", and addressed to St Johns. The cover is franked with a 10c and two 2c Queen Victoria issues, each with fresh colour and tied by small oval grids. The back of the cover has four datestamps: W.O.Douglastown NB (JUN.20.1864), Chatham NB (JUN.20.1864), Saint John NB JUN.21) and St Johns Newfoundland receiver (JUN.21). Vertical file fold away from stamps, and a very fine inter-provincial cover. (Image)

1866 St John Way Letter to Philadelphia, mailed St John on JUN.28.1866 (backstamp) to Philadelphia, with "WAY LETTER" in small circle. Upon arrival it received a "NOT FOUND" straightline handstamp plus an "ADV / JUL 6 / 1866" in small square. The cover is franked with a 10c vermilion Queen Victoria. Tears and overall soiling, still a scarce group of handstamps. (Image)

Group of Four NB Cents Issue Covers, 1860 to 1868, three are franked with a single 5c (to Rivière du Loup QC, Yarmouth NS and Wolfville NS) and one is franked with a single 10c (to Boston, Mass., very fine). The 5c cover mailed to Rivière du Loup has its stamp tied by a very fine strike of the #9 in oval grid (Grand Falls, RF 4). Mostly fine unless noted, with some opening tears, else overall nice appearance. (Image)

1868 Illustrated Advertising Masonic Cover mailed from "P.O. Hopewell Cape / N.B." (MA.24.1868 double broken circle) to "W.O. Hopewell Corner / NB." (nude double broken circle). The illustration is for "The Grand Lodge of the Order of British Templars / New Brunswick, Nov. 5, 1864" with lavishly illustrated three mast Schooner, etc. A few faults, still a lovely and scarce early Masonic advertising cover.
