An attractive example of this exeptional rarity with less than a dozen unused examples recorded and which FEWER THAN FIVE ARE KNOWN WITH ORIGINAL GUM. 1860 NOVA SCOTIA: Bisected 6d. deep green on 1860 inland cover from Wilmot to Bridgetown, cancelled with barred oval in black, backstamped 'Wilmot Jan. 14, 1860' and 'Bridgetown Jan. 16, 1860'. 1851: 1 Sh. dull purple on bluish, no watermark, wide to full margins, horizontal pair in fresh color, tied by centric black grid cancel and red cds. Even a single piece is very rare, so this horizontal pair, especially in this condition, is certainly a world rarity. Certificate BPA. ÷ 1 Sh. mattviolett auf bläulich, ohne Wasserzeichen, allseits gut- bis breitrandiges, waagerechtes, farbfrisches Luxuspaar, je zentrischer schwarzer Gitterstempel sowie roter K1.
