New Brunswick Seal of the Colony Engraved die proof in black die sunk directly to thick card - the original Seal of the Colony, quite likely prepared circa. 1850 for the proposed first issue of New Brunswick printed by Perkins, Bacon & Co. A highly interesting proof - an unadopted design as stamps were issued instead with the Royal Crown at centre surrounded by Heraldic Flowers. A great frontispiece to any advanced BNA collection, VF (Image)
