Large Collection of Mint Plate Blocks from 1927 to 1978, all displayed on homemade pages housed in 7 thick binders. The collection also includes some coils, complete sheets, souvenir sheets and booklets. Plate blocks appear to be all different, either for sheet positions or plate numbers with many in matched sets. The collection includes a mix of hinged and never hinged with many better such as #148 (NH block of 6 plate 1 CV $524), 201 (hinged plate 1 CV $150), 203 (two plate blocks one hinged one NH plate 1 CV $600), 244 (NH plate 1 CV $300), (245 NH plate 1 CV $600), 260 (hinged plate 2 matched set CV $200), 273 (Train Ferry 3 NH and 1 hinged plate 1 matched set CV $825) and more. Although there is little material before 1939, it is well populated from the War issue to 1978. Nice clean collection, worthy of a closer inspection since we did not check for varieties or better plate numbers. Catalogue values mentioned above are for fine only. Collection of Centennial Plate Blocks, all mint never hinged from an original Bileski offering (with paperwork from him), with a variety of blank corners, plate numbers, and different Winnipeg tagging. All are in matched sets of four except for one which is missing one corner. Includes some better items, some cataloguing $50 each, $62 each, etc. Catalogue value did not take into account fluorescence. Very fine and fresh. (Image)
