This is only the second (and latest) reported strike from this office, and is very rare, as this office was only open from JUL.1.1861 to OCT.1.1863. 1929 Cross-Border Express Company Cover, being a large cover mailed to Henry J. Morgan in Ottawa with a green label "UNITED STATES / Express Co. / FROM / HIGHLAND BEACH, J. J." with a "4" manuscript in red marker. There is a handstamp in purple reading "AM. EX. CO. / NEW YORK". Received in Ottawa by a purple handstamp reading "Canadian Express / SEP 22 1929 / J.S. Allen, Agent / Ottawa, Ont.". Faults, still interesting and a late example of cross-border multi-express companies cover. (Image)
