Box of Interesting Covers, 1890s to Modern, with a great variety of different material, including many FDC (many non-CPC cachets, some non-cacheted, note a nice Artmaster FDC with block of four of E11, many Rose Craft, etc.), registered, destinations (note a soiled 1934 registered air mail cover to the Falkland Islands), War Tax, Jubilee covers, postage due covers, postmarks, illustrated advertising, a number of early Saskatchewan Ballot Paper and Dominion Crown Lands covers, an 1897 Québec stamped revenue document, a 1959 Newfoundland stamped revenue document, and much more. Group of Nine Government Covers, 1860s-1880s, including 7 free-franked and two stamped (because mailed to the US). We note better postmarks such as a red Legislative council CDS (Davis #LC5, RF 5, rare) on an 1866 very fine cover, a red oval Marine and Fisheries crown postmark (1877), an 1881 6c SQ cover with FREE handstamp addressed to Henry Morgan, a Senate CDS and other items of interest. Some of the covers have their contents, and all but one are small (#8) size. A few faults, still overall fine. (Image)

Too many interesting items to list but we note an 1853 PAID 10 CENTS St John NB stampless on an exhibit page, an 1835 London UC double broken circle on a free franked cover, 1855 Waterloo - Kingston cross border envelope, 1850 Farmersville (in red on cover), Small Queen covers with fancy corks, registered, advertising, numerous interesting postmarks, first flights, a few FDC, slogans, a group of meters, postcards, stationery, etc. We note 1873 and 1882 Post Office Department official letters (one is addressed to Little Lepreux NB asking postmaster for money for unsold stamps). 1863 5c Nesbitt Envelope Mailed Registered from Swainby, CW, (Middlesex county), mailed to Toronto on SEP.30.1863, with an R.P.O. on back reading G.T.R. T & S / EAST dated OCT.1. This is only the second (and latest) reported strike from this office, and is very rare, as this office was only open from JUL.1.1861 to OCT.1.1863.
