Canada: Nova Scotia: 1851-60 Pence Issues, Plate Proofs, 1890 reprints on thin hard white paper, 1d. to 1s. set of four values, the 1d. in brown, 3d. bright blue, 6d. in dark green and 1s. in grey-black, each in a block of four, marginal except 1d., mainly fine. (16) These reprints were made on the authority of Postmaster General John Graham Haggart, the plates subsequently destroyed. Five or six sheets of each were pulled and most given to William Stevens Fielding when Minister of Finance.
