Nice Group of 88 Small Queen Covers, twelve are #8 sized and franked with a 1c and a 2c (1879 to 1890s), ten are #10 sized covers franked with a single 1c, and some of these are endorsed Per Book Post or Parcel Post (note one with lovely illustrated Wellington Insurance corner card and even more lovely fully illustrated insurance policy inside). Two #8 sized covers are franked with a single 2c, and the rest are franked with a single 3c, with better such as early usages (JUL.11.1870, AUG.6.1870, SEP.22.1870, DEC 16.1870, SEP 23.1871, SEP.25.1871, and so on) with early shades and some postmark interest, with broken circles, duplex, some House of Assembly receivers in red, a nice red OMEMEE double broken circle, and more. Also note a few illustrated advertising but those tend to be fronts only. All are sleeved and there are several faults, but overall mostly fine or better. Ex. Ron Saint. (Image)

Group of 13 Small Queen Destination Covers / Cards, noting a 5c single on 1892 cover to India, 1876 Toronto to Scotland with "Glasgow Packet" handstamp, 1895 to France, 1897 to Switzerland, two covers each franked with two 5c, to Germany and a Mourning to GB. A single 10c on 1896 cover from Sackville to GB, 3c + block of four ½c on cover to Denmark, plus five printed matter or wrapper rates to Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France and GB. 1895 Small Queen Cover to Bohemia, mailed Halifax (squared circle dated JUN.20.1895) and addressed to Altrohlau, Bohemia, with JUL.5 receiver on back. This illustrated advertising cover (depicting an embossed deer) is franked with a 2c and a 3c Small Queens paying the 5c UPU rate. Very fine and ex. Daniel Cantor collection. (Image)

Lovely Collection of 15 Advertising Jubilee Covers, all fifteen are dated in 1897 and show a good variety of different advertising, some in colour, many illustrated. Frankings range from mostly 3c Jubilees, 1c + 2c Jubilee combo, 1c Jubilee drop letter rate, 1c Jubilee + 1c Numeral Toronto to Flesherton (with letter inside), a lovely wrapper with two 1c Jubilees, and a cover franked with 2c Jubilee + 2c SQ + 2c Leaf. We note a good variety of postmarks as well, including flag machines, nice Peter Street duplex, orbs, a nice RPO, York Street squared circle, etc. A very nice and clean lot, with most items in very fine condition. Overall fine, but with creases (all have been folded in half) or opening faults, etc.

Collection of 17 Numeral Issue Covers and Cards, with better including a ½c single on wrapper (Toronto roller), ½c (block of 14) on 1901 registered cover Yarmouth NS to Pittsburg, ½c (three pairs) on cover Georgetown (squared circle) to St John NB (received on DEC 31, 1898, the last day of the 3c rate), 1904 bag tag franked with 20c (two pairs) and a 5c from Hazelton BC to Victoria BC, 1c (pair) on a 1902 illustrated advertising cover (Toronto Exposition) from Toronto Station B to Amherstburg, a 3c single on cover from Toronto to New York (mailed on DEC 31, 1898, the last day of the 3c rate), an uprated 1899 stationery card from Manitoba to Switzerland, a 2c Map and 1c Numeral on cover from NS to USA mailed on DEC 31, 1898, the last day of the 3c cross border rate, an early (1902) picture postcard from Québec to France, redirected, an 1899 5c single on cover to Vienna Austria, a 2c purple single on 1899 cover Toronto to England, and three registered domestic covers all franked differently (8c single, 5c + 2c and 5c + pair 1c). Early 1899 UPU Picture Postcard from Victoria BC, mailed Victoria on SEP.29.1899 to Berlin Germany, with OCT.16 receiver on front. The picture side depicts a view of an early mining establishment and a view of the Nanaimo Harbour. The card was printed in Germany, and is a very early picture postcard mailed from BC, the earliest we know of was mailed in June 1899. Very fine. (Image)

1904 15c Registered Rate Cover to Denmark, mailed from Ottawa on JUN.7.1904 and addressed to Skive, Denmark. Franked with a 1c, pair of 2c and two 5c King Edward VII issues, for a total of 15c. Back has a London transit in red plus a cinderella "Old Home Week and Ter-Centenary" with image of Samuel de Champlain. Vertical crease not affecting stamps, else very fine. (Image)

1903 Registered Cover from Ottawa to Japan, Then Back, mailed Ottawa JAN.23.1903 to Yokohama, Japan and franked with a pair of the 5c King Edward VII issue. The cover travelled through Chicago on JAN.27, San Francisco on JAN.31 where a red registration label was added, arrived Yokohama on FEB.26 where a second registration label was applied. It was then returned to San Francisco on MAR.16, then Vancouver on MAR.19, through Rossland on MAR.22, onto a train on the same day and arrived Windsor on MAR.26. A well travelled and documented cover, with a few faults still lovely. Fine-very fine and both sides scanned online. Rsv. (Image)
