Collection of Toronto "Freak" Experimental Duplex and Orb Postmarks, 1901 to 1903, mostly all on 2c QV Numeral stamps, but also on three covers and a card. The stamps are on a double-sided stock page, with one side having the duplex version of the postmark and the other side the later Orb version of the postmark. Accompanied by a photocopy of a 1965 Maple Leaves article explaining how this was first a duplex, which got changed into a 2-ring Orb datestamp in January 1902. A scarce group, and overall nice strikes with possible new time marks, etc. (Image)
