Collection of 26 Roessler Dubious, Spurious or Fraudulent Covers, 1928-1934, includes a facsimile Yukon Airways postcard, two items with "London to London" cinderellas in red, a Hillig & Hoirus USA to Denmark cover that missed the flight and was sent surface, but still signed by both pilots, a fake R100 Montreal cover (with a genuine for comparison), 9 Maritime and Newfoundland Airways covers, as well as a section of their cinderellas and 9 other covers for flights that did not take place, or were too late for the flight. A fascinating group, part of the owner's gold medal Roessler exhibit at the 2017 Royale. Overall very fine and all scanned online. (Image)

1928 Cover Flown New York to Winnipeg to Test Aircraft for Polar Conditions prior to use it in the Arctic. The cover is addressed to Floyd Bennett, but was returned to Roessler after arriving in Winnipeg. A unique Roessler contribution to Canadian Aerophilately. Some minor toning on back and some minor creases and from the owner's 2017 gold medal Royale exhibit. (Image)

Aug. 25-26 1933 Vancouver to Québec City Hawks Transcontinental Flight Cover. Hawks flew Vancouver to Québec City in 17 hours and 10 minutes despite having to stop in Kingston due to fog. The cover is attested and signed by Hawks. The upper right stamps were cancelled at Québec Aug. 26th and the lower left stamp was cancelled at Vancouver on Aug. 22. Scarce and very fine. (Image)

Aug. 25-26 Vancouver to Québec City Hawks Transcontinental Flight Cover. Hawks set a record of time of 17 hours and 10 minutes for the flight, despite having to stop in Kingston due to fog. This cover is signed by Hawks and attested by Wm. Templeton to Airport Manager at the Vancouver Sea Island airport. The stamps were cancelled at Québec on Aug. 26th. Scarce and very fine. (Image)

1955 Bleriot Monoplane Replica Flight Across the English Channel, in the replica built in Calgary by University of Alberta students. Flew the Channel July 31st, 1955 from Calais to Dover and back. July 27, 1933 Edmonton to New York Jimmie Mattern Cover, while on a round the world flight, a few covers were put on board when he landed in Edmonton on July 27. June 20-22 1932 Fort McMurray - Fort Resolution - Great Bear Lake All-In-One Experimental Flight Cover, postmarked Fort McMurray June 18, 1932, Fort Resolution June 20 and Rae N.W.T June 20 on the front and then Rae, Fort Resolution and Fort McMurray June 22 on the back, making this an all-in-one round trip cover. Signed by pilot C.H. Dick, R.W. Hale (the postal superintendent) and 7 others. Has a Murphy Services 5 line cachet that was applied at Great Bear Lake. May 1931 Montreal to St John's Newfoundland Unique Flight Cover, on May 17, 1931 pilot D.C. Fraser and mechanic H. Clayton flew from Montreal to St John's, arriving May 19th. This cover was probably the only one carried on this flight and is unreported. It was mailed from Fraser's sister Helen to their father in St John's and the content card reads in part "suddenness of departure given no time to write... historic occasion which we are proud to share...". The C1 Airmail stamp is cancelled by a scarce "NEWF'D P.O. / NORTH SYDNEY / MY 19 / 31" c.d.s. plus another free strike. A very interesting and very fine cover. (Image)
