1935 First Flight Cover New York to Norway, franked with a Newfoundland 5c Silver Jubilee stamp, with a Cartwright Nfl'd broken circle dated JUL.22.1935. Flown on the "Leiv Eriksson" by pilot Thor Solberg (and signed by him alongside his cachet) and arrived Norway on AUG.16.1935. Ex. Franklin D. Roosevelt collection and still with its Harmer NY packaging, on an exhibit page. Very fine and scarce flight. (Image)
