1876, card QV 1 C. uprated QV 3 C. tied "QUEBEC JU 25 76" to Carlsruhe/Germany, two line "RETURNED / FOR / POSTAGE" deleted, on reverse "DEAD LETTER OFFICE CANADA JU 30 1876", ostensibly sender could not be found, hence forwarded with handwritten "as a Letter", bold "T" resp. large "3", on front "OTTAWA JU 30 1876", red "LONDON JY 11 76", on reverse TPO "VERVIERS CÖLN" and on arrival in blue crayon "50" (deleted) resp. "70" with german "AUSG. 18/7" (Ausgabe = delivery). - Postcards were not admitted in international mails at reduced tariff before Canadas entry into the GPU/UPU by July 1st, 1878. Amazing item.
