OFFICIAL LETTER TO MAJOR GENERAL SIR SAMUEL BENFIELD STEELE; 10 Aug. 1899 printed 'O.H.M.S' env. addressed to the 'Lt Col. S.B.Steele/Dawson/Yukon Territory' whilst an Officer of the North West Mounted Police and inscribed 'Personal' at top left. The rear with printed 'N.W.MOUNTED POLICE/CANADA' on flap and matched Red wax seal and a Victoria d.s. on rear. Also a small box containing seven other envs. to the Steele family mostly in England.
