1918 KGV Sideface 1½d in Various Colours Imperforate Proof ACSC #LC41P(1)B 'CLIFTON GARDENS/ SYDNEY' (sailing boats) in deep red-purple on ungummed uniform grey stock with one corner folded back to reveal the inside stock, 'AUSTRALIAN NOTE/AND STAMP PRINTER/("3")' cachet & 'DEC 18 1918' handstamp both in violet on the address panel, Cat $10,000. [The admonition remained unchanged, inadvertently referring to the 'penny rate of postage', which was continued on the issued cards!]
'CLIFTON GARDENS' exists only in this format, making it the rarest of all the views: only one other example - a similar proof numbered "2" - is recorded.
1920 KGV Sideface 2d Orange Perforated Proof in Purple-Brown Perf 10 ACSC #LC45P(1) 'GOVERNMENT HOUSE/SYDNEY NSW', small fault on the address side & minor discolouration, Cat $7500. Unadopted colour.

1920 KGV Sideface 2d Orange Imperforate Proof in Orange ACSC #45P(2) 'GOVERNMENT HOUSE/SYDNEY NSW' on surfaced grey stock (off-white within), light "suntanning" on the view side which does not affect the very fine appearance of the address side, Cat $7500. [The ACSC states that only three examples have been recorded]
