POSTAL HISTORY: 1936-45 group all airmail to Australia comprising 1936 to Sydney endorsed "POR AVION HASTA/SAN FRANCISCO" paying 15c letter rate plus 27c airmail surcharge with 'CORREO AEREO/MAN--COMUN/AIR MAIL' boxed cachet on face, 1942 at 45c rate endorsed "Air Mail to San Francisco" (faults), 1944 at 2.15p rate for PanAm Trans-Pacific Clippper service, and 1945 (Feb) at 4.15p rate for double PanAm surcharge with 'PAR AVION/CORREO AEREO/TRANSOCEANICO' & 'BY AIR MAIL OVER U.S./...' cachets, the latter three all censored on arrival, a few blemishes.
