Unissued: prepared under Vietnamese occupation after the defeat of the Pol Pot regime, these were subsequently deemed unsuitable for use.

1975 Musical Instruments 'REPUBLIQUE KHMER' overprints and surcharges set SG 394-401 complete sheets of 25 with French printer's control numbers and 'coin' dates at left, usual tropicalised gum as usual with some toning apparently caused by the interleaving paper (included for some), unmounted, Cat £950 per set = £23,750+ for singles). Unissued: there is speculation that stocks of these sheets were physically buried to escape detection.

1990 Soccer World Cup 3r Dribbling as SG 1043 but surcharged with '200.' handstamp in red strip of 3 tied by Cha Gim cds to 1991 airmail cover to Germany with Kampuchea Angkor Wat 35r pair alongside and 100r & 1r WWII on back, a couple of minor blemishes not affecting the adhesives. In a footnote below #1049, Gibbons [5th Edition, 2012] state "handstamped surcharges on this issue have been reported but not verified by us". Horst Osper Certificate (2016) stating (in German) that the stamps, cancels and surcharges are genuine.
1990 Soccer World Cup 15r Shooting as SG 1046 but surcharged with '800.' handstamp in red, tied by Daun Penh cds to 1991 registered cover airmail to the Philippines with 35r Train pair & 300r Hospital alongside and Kampuchea 50c Correggio & 1r WWII on back, minor edge faults not affecting the adhesives.
