Burma, diplomatic pouch cover correspondence to the US, 1952-56, a superb, fascinating assemblage of 16 legal size envelopes, all franked by a diverse range of Burmese issues, addressed to the Psychological Warfare Section, San Francisco, with APO designations 343 or 500, both in Japan. All covers bear the customary, two line "This article originally mailed in country indicated by postage" violet handstamp in different types. Covers shows "The Foreign Service of the United States" corner cards, and all Burmese stamps, but for 2 covers, all are cancelled by Washington DC c.d.s.'s upon arrival. Outstanding, rarely encountered group, Fine to Very Fine.

British Offices in China, 1922, King George V, 4¢ scarlet, displaced "CHINA" overprint variety (Scott 19. Yang BP19), a choice mint example showing drastically shifted overprint, showing "CHIN" & "A" split, fresh, Very Fine, a striking eye-arresting variety, rare: apparently one sheet of 20 was found in Wei-Hai-Wei in the late 1930s.

British Offices in China, 1922 (Nov. 30), official-franked envelope used Hoihow to Kiungchow, lovely, clean and attractive large-sized envelope, franked by 1¢ to 20¢ and 50¢ "CHINA" overprints, all neatly and perfectly tied by "Hoihow /NO 30/22" origin c.d.s.'s; addressed to the British Consulate at Kiungchow. Fresh, Very Fine, a scarce usage.

Hong Kong, 1949, U.P.U. complete (Scott 180-183), a magnificent holding of these beautifully engraved stamps; a god-send for the dealer who can't keep them in stock, as quantities per denomination range from 97 to 106; each stamp in the set is present as a full pane of 60 replete with plate number and printer's imprint (interesting to note that two printers were used, each producing two values), plus additional blocks of 6, 37, 43 or 49, again all with plate number and imprint (part imprint, in the case of the block of 6), fresh color and well-centred across the board, o.g., never hinged; a couple panes with a bent margin corner, but stamps unaffected, Very Fine, a must-see.
