This cover predates the prior earliest known by nine months. The cachet depicts the Mt. Lavinia hotel sitting on a peninsula, with the cover franked by four King George V Ceylon pictorials, all but the 6c at lower left tied by strikes of the "Colombo/20MR/37/4" c.d.s.
