1892, single page with two £1 reproductions and two original archival Sperati negatives (one for main design and one for value tablet only), one of the £1 reproductions could be termed as the second state is unreported and has Paul Freeland's inventory card with note, "Purchased from Sperati - June 4, 1956," the card has two handwritten notes, one signed by Walske opining "possibly a new type" and an unsigned pencil note opining that it is a poor print that was unsatisfactory to Sperati and should not be considered a new type (image of Freeland card is here); considered to be not different enough to qualify as a second type but obviously good enough for Sperati to sell and certainly a retouched state (Image)
