Japan -- 1905 pop-up greeting card self-mailer Extremely rare. Early pop-up card which is self-mailer (no envelope needed) featuring greenery along with two versions of the Japanese flag. Woman shown thinking about her soldier away from home. Card was used by a US writer in the US Naval Hospital in Yokohama pleading for his sister to write to him. Item is addressed to Edna Burke, Ash Fork Arizona and has a Seattle US arrival postmark. Stamps have been removed. (Image1)
