1917, Siam declaration of war to Germany, 22 July 1917: stationery card 5 Satang / 4 C. tied oval "Camp for families of prisonners/ Bangkok, Siam / 21 8 1917" and Siam censor mark "CONTROLE POSTAL MILITAIRE / Controlé /348" (destination address mostly missing). - The card message written by a german lady internee dated Aug. 21 states a. o. "My husband is prisonner of war since July 22, I am interned since July 31" (Mein Mann ist seit 22. Juli Kriegsgefanger, ich bin seit 31. Juli interniert). Additional reference material included from same "Wiessing" family correspondence, Bolivia 1917 to Amsterdam.- Siam sent a volunteer corps to France, after the war had a seat at the Versailles Peace Conference , received some confiscated german ships for its merchant navy.Piece of history documenting declaration of war of Siam to Germany in First World War.
