1904 Picture postcard (Paknam Railway & Elephants) sent from Bangkok (dated '25/7 04') to Bremen, Germany via Singapore, franked by three singles of 1904 2s. red & blue all tied by violet (sender) oval h/s and by "SINGAPORE/JY 30/1904" double-ring d/s, with Bremen '25.8.04' arrival cds alongside. One adhesive with a corner defect otherwise a fine and scarce card written onboard a ship (probably) and posted in Singapore.

1905 Destination DENMARK: Picture postcard (Bangkok Police Station) used from another Thai P.O. to Copenhagen, Denmark via Bangkok, dated '(Makeng) 16/11 05' (perhaps Mak Khaeng or Ban Makaeng the later Udon Thani?), franked by 1904 6a. carmine and tied by indistinct strike of cds and by Copenhagen '7.1.06' arrival cds, Bangkok '6.12.05' transit cds alongside. The card with light corner creases but still good. A good stamp on an unusual card, and a scarce destination.

1907: Printed "German Telegram Service" envelope used in Bangkok locally, with red note "One att Stamp run short/Postage Paid" plus black inc. signature of PM Fack (unusual), cancelled by native c.d.s., and with bilingual Bangkok 1 '10.12.07" arrival c.d.s. on the reverse, fine. A VERY UNUSUAL COVER PAID BY CASH.

1887/1950, Mint collection as the part of the famous specialized Alex Petrie collection, on pages with handwritten sundry details, sketches etc., from 1887-91 King Chulalongkorn set with a lot different 1889-1899 overprinted stamps, with varies types including 1889/90 1a. on 2 a. (SG 20-22), eight copies of the 2 a./3 a. (SG 26/27) optd. types 1/2 resp. subtypes and small type-set surcharges (SG 29/30), etc., 1894-99 series incl. 1a. with Roman Atts (SG 54h), pairs: of 1a. on 12a Roman "att" with normal (SG55h+55), 2a. on 64a. Roman "atts" with normal (SG56+56h), and many others, followed by the 1899-1904 and later Definitives and Provisionals, complete sets mostly, plus varieties, types of overprint, pairs etc., up to 1950 'King Bhumibol and Palace' set. A valuable, specialized and almost fine collection as a result of a labour of love, for the amateur of the genre (SG about £20,000). (Image)
