NEPAL. Mi.22, 23, 24. 1926 (Feb.). From a Post Office near POKHARA (Western Nepal) to KATHMANDU. Double-weight registered cover franked with 4 pice green, 8 pice red and 16 pice violet, cancelled with an unrecorded postmaster´s ink seal, addressed to the Commander-in-Chief of Nepal, Bhim Shamsher. The excess weight was caused by a rupee coin that was originally enclosed, as a sign of respect for the addressee. EXTREMELY RARE franking and cancellation. Ex W. Hellrig. (Image1)
