1950, Conquering of Seoul commemorative 1 W. tied "50.10.9" to inland cover with "50.10.11" arrival, cover opened out for display. This comemmorative was issued July 10, only 12 days after the communist taking of Seoul (June 28), which suggests in view of necessary work that preparation for this issue had begun some time before the "defensive strike against South Korean agression" of June 25. Usage after Seoul had been liberated (Sept. 28). It has been suggested that this stamp was sold only in Seoul, which should be reconsidered in view of this cover.
