1897, red Dae Han in seal style (top right character broken) on 5 Poon 2nd printing, a vertical pair with vertical paper break aka white line at right, tied smudged "Hansung Kwangmu 3.12.15" (Dec. 15, 1899) to entire folded letter to Haeju c/o local garrison administration but not found: investigation by 4 paper tags and pmks. of Haeju Dec. 19 and Seoul Dec. 23/24, top tag (Seoul Dec. 25 datestamp) explains reasons for return. Bottom stamp pasted slightly overlapping and corner fault. - The entire folded letter was never opened. Amazing commercial usage. (Image)

Ahrens but missent to Cerea/Italy "CEREA 12 10 97", than to "Caston Attleborough" England with respective datestamps of Oct. 16 and ms. "not-known in caston", finally endorsed in red "Corea.Asia", arrived "FUSAN I.J.P.O. 5 DEC 97" but again forwarded to Japan "NAGASAKI 13 DEC 97". On reverse partially preprinted bookshop/editors/old books Mayer&Müller, "purveyors to HM the King of Sweden and Norway" with Berlin W. dateline, horiz. crease, a well travelled card.
