Nanyo - South Sea Occupation / South Sea Mandated Islands: 1914, Tazawa 10 S. pair tied "No. 3 Naval / Agency 5.7.25" (July 25, 1916) to registered cover to Yokohama with search slips mostly removed plus one "return to sender for reason stated" remaining. Vermilion vertical "censorship passed". Yokohama Aug. 25 backstamp. German sender franked at foreign rates.
Printed return of "Ponape-Agency of Jaluit Col, Ponape." - No. 3 agency was aboard one of the supply transport ships pending between Japan and the occupied islands, scarce.

Gum remainders at left from filing.
