Japan Graf Zeppelin Flight cover cancelled “On Board” on August 29, 1929. It was mailed to Los Angeles and back stamped there on August 26. A US two cent stamp was applied and forwarded on where it was cancelled in Cleveland, Ohio on September 1. The Japanese stamp frankings makes this an exhibit worthy cover. Japan Graf Zeppelin Round the World Flight cover having the Official Japanese cachet cancelled on August 21, 1929 in Tokyo. It was mailed to Lakehurst and back stamped there on August 29. This cover also bears a Los Angeles back stamp on August 26 indicating that it was landed in LA and then placed back on the Zeppelin. Note the misspelling of Lakhurst and green ink bleeding on its front. Direct from an original collection just coming onto the market. (Image)
