REGISTERED MAIL TO LONDON: 1887 env. franked 10s (2) (env. & stamps with faults, and stamp missing) posted to London endorsed "via America/Registered" ms, with a v. fine octagonal "REGISTERED/28/NOV/1887/KOBE" and mainly fine "REGISTERED/30 NOV/1887[YOK?]OHAMA" adjacent to a USA registration label on front, and large "REGISTERED/[DEC] 15 1887/SAN FRANCISCO" hs under an oval "NEW YORK N.Y./12-23/1887/REG'Y.
