A REMARKABLE TRANSATLANTIC FOLDED LETTER FROM SINGAPORE VIA INDIA AND BELGIUM, CARRIED TRANSATLANTIC ON THE FINAL VOYAGE OF THE BELGIAN "BRITISH QUEEN".

This cover took a remarkable journey from Singapore to the United States. Some interesting content including "…You will learn soon enough the disaterour termination of the Voyage in the "New Orleans". We sprung a heavy leak while taking in cargo on the West Coast of Sumatra, before getting the ship quite full of pepper, was obliged to hear for some port for examination and repairs. This port being the nearest which gave facilities for such repairs as should be found necessary to … the final object of the Voyage… The extent of repairs, was estimated much greater than the value of the ship in the best condition.
