PRESENTATION DIE PROOFS: 3d die proof in green struck on thick handmade paper (216x175mm) with deckled edges BW #134DP(2), the edges slightly trimmed (reduced to 210x156mm), Cat $12,500. The ACSC states that 11 proofs were presented, one of which is in the Australia Post Archives. Only five others have been accounted for. [At least two examples have had the deckling removed. Lord Vestey's example - reduced to 166x130mm - sold at auction in October 2014 for £4560]

Probably the finest example we have seen. [This was the first eastward crossing of the Pacific Ocean by air. The last three examples we offered sold for an average of $1515]
