Canada strong and desirable mint & used collection, offered as received, with many infrequently-seen items, beginning with a four-margin used #4, and progressing through to the 1938 Scroll issue, note several better including unused #8, a scarce unused #17e deep red purple, an unused #19, particularly strong Large Queens including #21v o.g. showing broken scrollwork at the upper left, used #24iii and #27ii, both being scarcer blotting paper examples, mint #28i milky blue Large Queen, #29 thin paper unused, #30iv the 15c greenish gray in a rare block of four, perhaps the largest remaining multiple, the highlight undoubtedly being a 3c bright red on laid paper, unused, with prominent laid lines, an exceptionally scarce item with fewer than ten unused examples recorded, expert pencil signed on back, Small Queens with shades including a mint 6c chestnut, and three nice mint 10c shades, Maple Leaf issue including multiple mint 8c and 10c examples, Numerals including a nice mint 6c brown block of four, mint Jubilees including a 20c, a lovely 2c Numeral on thick paper, never hinged, Edward VII issues including a mint 20c and 50c, Quebec Tercentenary including a mint lower right corner block of four, a variety of mint Admirals to the $1, mint 50c Bluenose and part-imprint block of four of the $1 Parliament, a generally sound lot, chiefly fine, but with many very fine and stamps to be found from careful inspection. China & People’s Republic old-time packet maker’s stock, with many thousands of mint, used, and cancelled-to-order singles, pairs, and blocks, sorted into glassines, strong in 1950s-early 1960s PRC, though note items going back to 1898 Dragons, Sun Yat-sen, and Martyrs issues, with reprints of the 1950 Flags, 1950 Chairman Mao, and 1952 Physical Exercises issues, two sets of 1955 Scientists imperforate miniature sheets, 1959 Sports issues CTO in large multiples, 1974 Arms of the Republic issues never hinged, and much more, apparently organized into back-up stock and packets that had been prepared for sale, with three large glassines noted as including 1,500 stamps, five noted as 1,000 stamps, and many smaller prepared packets of J&R Darracott Ltd, a substantial holding with exceptional retail potential, chiefly fine-very fine.
