image Sale No: 70
Lot No:638
Symbol:Cat No:Collection

Worldwide, 1840-1968, a massive collection in 14 Scott International albums, mint and used, neatly hinged on pages, and apparently a third complete for the period - tens of thousands of stamps. Nearly all countries are represented to some degree with tidbits everywhere. Early issues are more used than mint, later tend more toward mint or CTO. Mostly part sets and some mixed mint and used sets. A nice lot for a collector who wants to add to it or for a dealer wanting to pull items from it for stock, and an excellent lot for an internet dealer. Condition averages Fine to Very Fine.

Lot No:639
Symbol:Cat No:Collection

Worldwide, 1840's-1899, an old-time collection of mint and used classics, over 800 stamps in all, including first issues of Australian States, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, German States, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Netherlands and Norway, plus numerous better issues of Europe and the British Empire from the latter 19th century (a few 20th century issues are inconsequential); all arranged in a stockbook. In very mixed condition, with approximately 5% of the stamps being space-fillers and landfill candidates (not counted), but there are plenty of Fine or better appearing examples to make this a worthwhile lot. The catalog value is very roughly estimated, so please check the scans on the web to get a better idea of the many high value items in this unusual collection. Shipping weight 3.5 lbs / 1.6 kilos.
