Various countries virtually all used, neatly mounted on album pages with issues up to 1871 and a high degree of quality throughout; Austria issues including large margin first issues, 1858-59, 3k green with red cancel, similar Lombardy-Venetia, Belgium & Denmark, G.B. with 4 margin 1840 1d and 2d right margin single and later select items, Luxembourg including 1859-63 1c mint o.g. pair and used 37½c, Netherlands and near complete Norway used, Portugal and Romania, Russia with choice first issue, Switzerland from a few Coat of Arms issues on, select German and Italian States with the occasional better and all in superb appearance, Latin America including Brazil 1843, 30r & 60r values used and later issues, strong showing of Colombia issues */o including 1861 issues complete and many other issues near completion, Uruguay starting with four margin 1856, 1r vermilion unused, similar 1858, 180c & 240c values, etc., United States including 1847, 5¢ & 10¢ values, 1851 denominations including a right margin 5¢ used, 1857 issues with denominations to the 24¢, choice 1861 issues and complete denominations of the 1860 Pictorial issues including a lovely well centered 90¢ value, few C.S.A. issues, etc.; a wonderful collection of early issues and a must view to fully appreciate.
