Rockfellow & Co.'s Express. Paid. 75¢. Printed frank in ornamental frame (Thomas ROC-001) on 3c Pink on White entire (U34) to San Francisco street address, conjunctive use with blue "Wells, Fargo & Co., Bannock City I.T., Oct. 3" oval datestamp, about one-half inch at right was torn off and has been expertly replaced (including half of the embossed stamp), Very Fine appearance, a rare Western Express frank with only three used examples of this type recorded in Thomas, one of which is in the Wiltsee collection, this company ran its express between Walla Walla and Boise for a mere six months in 1863, ex-Dale-Lichtenstein.
