Thomes & Skadan's Express, Susanville & Reno, Connecting with Wells, Fargo & Co. Printed paid ribbon frank on 1870, 3¢ green entire to the Florence sewing machine agent in Reno, Nev., reverse with Jany 4/73 docketing; cover tear at top and stain at upper right, Fine, a very scarce express frank.
Thomas No. THO-003; Estimate $150 - 200.

This was a stage operation that provided an express letter service. They operated between Susanville Cal and Reno Nev., a distance of about 70 miles. They connected with Wells Fargo at Reno.
