Balance of an advanced collection with a large Penny Black, Litho 4d x7 including 'WESTERN' in Squeezed-Down Letters SG 3k (cut-to-shape; RPSofV Certificate), 'N' of 'PENCE' Tilted to Right SG 3n and Rouletted x2 & 1/- x4 including Rouletted x2, 1857 Hillman Lithos 2d, 2d Printed both Sides, 6d black-bronze (very attractive but rebacked) & Rouletted 6d grey-black, 1860-64 6d x3 including Rouletted, and a good range of later issues to £1 including Crown/A set plus Perf 11 9d and postally used Postal Fiscals to 1/- & Telegraphs 6d (a couple of short perfs), etc, condition variable but many are fine to very fine, Cat £20,000+. 1854 "Penny Black" Imperf 1d black SG 1, large even margins with a chunk of the adjoining unit below, a couple of faint blemishes on the reverse, fine 15-bar '2' cancel of Perth in blue, Cat £350 plus a premium for the coloured numeral.
1854-55 Lithographs 4d blue group of shades including "dull blue" SG 3b with good to large margins & "slate blue" SG 3c with good even margins (with RPSofV Certificate stating "it has been rebacked") and seven others with margins in places, Cat £3550 minimum. Ex Brian Pope. [Note that the dull blue (or "deep dull blue" as per Gibbons) is identified more from the unsatisfactory impression of the Swan than the shade. It was the first printing & should be listed as SG 3]

1857-59 Hillman Lithographs Imperf 2d brown-black/red SG 15 with transient Bullet Hole Flaw and Watermark of Horizontal Lines Only from the base of the sheet, margins shaved to huge, superb 15-bar '5' cancel of Guildford, Cat £750+.
1857-59 Hillman Lithographs Imperf 6d black-bronze SG 18 with a Prominent Transfer Flaw (Void) at Upper-Left, margins close to good, light Void Grid cancel, Cat £650. Superb. RPSofL Certificate (1976) as the then SG 17.
1860-64 Recess in the Colony Imperf Watermark Upright 2d bright vermilion, 3½ margins, blue cancel, and 4d deep blue x2, one with the Watermark Inverted and Pre-Printing Paper Fold, both with full margins, both unused, Cat £1450. (3)
1860-64 Printed in the Colony from Perkins Bacon Plates Imperf 6d sage-green SG 28, margins good to large, unused, Cat £3500. An unusually large & attractive example of this scarce stamp. Ex Wolfgang Kielmann. RPSofV Certificate (1996). [The certificate states this is "sage-green" SG 28a. However, our opinion is that this is the "deep" sage-green, which Gibbons doesn't record unused]
