1919 overprinted "C.M.T. Roman Pocutia" and surcharged with new values on Austrian stamps 1.20k on 1kr, 1.20k on 2kr, 1.20k on 3k, 4k on 4kr, and 4k on 10kr, the complete set of five unissued values, v.f., signed "Ukr.Phil.Verb.e.v.", top value with 2023 Royal certificate. These surcharges were prepared, but never issued as Romania ceded this part of Western Ukraine to the Polish Army. This is one of the only two (!) known sets of this issue, possibly ex-King Karol of Romania collection. The other set (ex-Mikulski) was sold in our 2006 auction (hammer $16,500) (Image)
