Victoria, "22" Barred Oval of Broken River (unknown office, F&W rarity RRR), full to near complete strikes on 4-margin 1850, Queen Victoria ("Half Length"), Ham printing, 3rd Die State, 1d dull orange vermilion and New South Wales 1851, Queen Victoria, 2d grayish blue, plate I, grayish paper, tears in N.S.W. stamp, otherwise Very Fine. SG No. 8, N.S.W. 55  Estimate $300 - 400. In July 1851 the Port Phillip District became the State of Victoria. In villages at or near the NSW border, such as Swan Hill, NSW stamps as well as Victoria stamps were commonly used. This suggests that this unknown marking was likely assigned to Swan Hill. $0 (Image)
