Endorsement altered on forwqarding with "Via Havre Packet 1st July" at top and "OUTRE-MER / LE HAVRE" entry cds in red (July 23), rated '10' dêcimes due on arrival in manuscript. 1863/64: Eagle 2 r. green, an unusually superb large margined example, used on 1865 cover from La Guaira to Bordeaux, endorsed "p. Creole" (a non Contract Steamer, 'bâtiments de commerce') tied by fine "CORREOS / LA GUAIRA" handstamp in blue. Struck below adhesive with circular entry marking "OUTRE-MER / PAUILLAC" in red (May 10) and manuscript '12' dêcimes to pay. Bordeaux arrival cds on reverse.
