Handstamps Held in the Historical Section of the PO: in a large "Scrap Book". These impressions are believed to have been made by Derek Baker and were used for a series of articles in the Australian Stamp Monthly about the 1970s. They generally show the date on the implement when it was last used, which was often the closing date. A number of the handstamps are only known from these archival impressions, including Mayflower, Scrubby Lake, Chandler's Creek, Leebrooke, Mount Dispersion NSW, Jack's Corner etc, etc. A wealth of genuine, but not contemporary cancels. Includes quite a few instructional handstamps and Crown Seals. (980 impressions) (Image1)
