1871 (Aug) cover from Boston to Rev. Bissel in Ahmednuggur, India, paying 44c with pair of 10c brown & single 24c, red "London Paid 28 Aug. 71" transit, also "36/2" in crayon (indicating British credit) on front, oval "Sea Post Office" and red "Ahmednuggur Camp PO." arrival pmks on back, also with some inked computations (which could indicate why the Reverend saved them; he may have used them for record keeping in lieu of scarce paper.
