Siberia address) addressed to San Francisco, with "U.S.Postal Agency Shanghai China Oct 2, 1918" departure pmk ("1" duplex applied alongside), also boxed "A. E. F. SIBERIA Censored Lieut Lester K. Ade" in violet (this was the first base censor assigned by the A.E.F. in Siberia), filing folds, fine. The Shanghai Postal Agency datestamp was applied at Vladivostok as a temporary postmark until the definitive datestamp arrived on 18th October, 1918 (Image)
