Ephemera -- Set of Eaton's Fine Letter Papers Cinderella stamps In 1938, Eaton’s Fine Letter Papers contracted The American Bank Note Company to make a series of 10 label stamps to be released in 1939, in conjunction with the opening of the New York World's Fair. The labels looked so much like stamps that people affixed them on letters. The postal department told Eaton to discontinue the stamps. American Bank Note Company destroyed the printing plates. The centering on these stamps is superb. They are mint never hinged. (Image1)
