Whiting & Co.'s Feather River Express, boxed frank handstamp with "R" in "Feather" left of "G" (WHI-002a), on 1855, 10¢ Nesbitt entire to Liberty, N.Y., entered the mails with light blue "Marysville, Cal., Paid By Stamps" cds with matching waffle grid handstamp canceling indicia; P.F. cert mentions small corner tear which appears only to be a tiny wrinkle, Very Fine, a very rare Whiting Express frank, this being one of three recorded examples in Thomas; with 2009 P.F. certificate.
