United States Collection, 1847-1940, comprehensive mostly mint collection housed in Scott album; starting with 4-margin Provisional issues including used N.Y. #9X1 and unused Providence 5¢ & 10¢ issues, 1847 issues complete with extra pen canceled #1, followed by 1875 Special Printings complete 4-margin, 1851 issue types including 1¢ type IIIa, 5¢ and all 10¢ types, virtually complete 1857 issues highlighted by 1¢ issues with used types Ic & III (cat $2,500 & $2,250 respectively), 5¢ types including the brick red (4 margins) and Indian red shades, complete 10¢ types mostly used and 12¢-90¢ issue complete unused, 1¢ Special Printing (Sc. 40), 1861-66 issues starting with 3¢ First Design (formerly Sc. 56) and used 10¢ (62B), nearly all issues present missing only the 3¢ pink (rose pink present) including 10¢-90¢ values unused, strong 1867 grills with 3¢ C. grill, complete D. grills, Z. grills including the 2¢-3¢ and 12¢ issues, E. & F. grills complete including mint, 1869 Pictorial complete including mint lower values, followed by Special Printings with certificates for the 2¢, 10¢, 30¢-90¢ values, near complete Banknote issues including 1870 grills missing only the rare 24¢ value, other issues present and mostly mint in later Banknotes, virtually all mint thereafter including small banknotes complete, the 1893 Columbians complete mint, Bureau issues with 1894 issues complete to the $1 values and complete 1895 & 1898 issues, Trans-Miss and Pan-Am's complete, 1902 Definitives complete, Louisiana & Jamestown sets present, 2¢ Lincoln bluish, strong Wash-Frank issues with near complete perfed issues and coils including singles and pairs, highlighted by Washington bluish papers including 3¢, 6¢, 10¢-15¢ values (most with certs), Pan-Pac issues complete (both perfs), scarce #449 & #491 coil used, #459 imperf coil pair mint, #467 & #505 5¢ errors in blocks of 6, 1918-20 dollar values, Offset issues complete including the scarce #534B used (cat $1,250, with cert.), completion in 4th bureau issues including the good coil wastes, 2¢ type II issues including coil pair, Kans-Nebr issue complete, WP souvenir sheet, etc., back-of-the-book issues with complete mint airmails including Zeppelins, Special Deliveries, Parcel Post and Offices in China issues, also complete Postage Due issues mostly mint; a wonderfully comprehensive collection with catalog well in excess of $206,000, condition varies throughout however nice appearing and well centered issues dominate, accompanied by 29 certificates, a must see to truly appreciate.
