A.T., Nov 4. 1867 (Pima), neat manuscript postmark (Meyer 1, rarity 11) on cover to Lima, N.Y., franked with manuscript canceled 1861, 3Ā¢ rose, manuscript "Via Santa Fe" routing endorsement at left; cover slightly reduced at right and pre-use stamp tear, otherwise Very Fine. EstimateĀ  $1,500 - 2,000. A RARE EARLY MANUSCRIPT POSTMARK USAGE FROM TUBAC, ARIZONA TERRITORY. Tubac was an Indian village and was first garrisoned by the Spanish in 1752. The Tubac Post Office was established on February 21, 1859, while in Dona Ana County, New Mexico Territory. It became part of the Arizona Territory on February 24, 1863. Officially it was considered as Fort Tubac between June 1864 to January of 1866 and May 27, 1867 to March 4, 1868. This cover falls between the later of these dates. $0 (Image)
