Total Wreck, Arizona, Aug 16, 1883 (Pima), blue cds (Meyer 1, rarity 6) tying 3Ā¢ Banknote on cover to New Jersey, with illustrated "Walter L. Vail., Empire Ranch, A.T." boxed corner card showing Two Saddled Horses and Roped Cattle on Ground; slight reduction at left, Very Fine, a lovely illustrated cover from Total Wreck. EstimateĀ  $200 - 300. Total Wreck's post office was established August 12, 1881 and discontinued November 1, 1890. Total Wreck was discovered by John L. Dillon in 1879 and named it such because he thought the ledge the mine was on looked like a total wreck. Empire Ranch by 1880 had no post office. $0 (Image)
