San Antonia, Cal., Dec 11 (Monterey), cds with misspelling of "San Antonio" (MOT-2930) tying 1861, 3¢ rose on 1861 folded letter to Belmont, Cal., Very Fine, a very rare postmark with only one other example recorded in Williams. Estimate  $300 - 400. The other "San Antonia" postmark was used in September 1st, 1861 and the earliest recorded example of the corrected "San Antonio" postmark is dated March 21st, 1862. This postmark falls between these and shows possible manipulation of the last "A" in "Antonia". $0 (Image)
