Circular postmark (Williams SAC-2520) tying 1851, 12¢ black, diagonal bisect on 1852 folded letter paying the 6¢ rate to Goffs Corner, Maine, letter with interesting content "July 30 - A Balloon ascension takes place today close by me and I expect to see a man ride up into the clouds. Laureate is here, one of the first men who ever went up in a balloon.", slight cover staining and stamp with light toning, F.-V.F., one of two reported bisect usages from Sacramento; with 1995 P.F. certificate.
